Unless you've been under a rock for the past two years you should be very well aware of the controversy of Mitt Romney's nonstop flip flops. At one time (before running for president) Romney was quite the liberal in all of his social views. This page is dedicated to comparing the Romney 2000 (sounds like a cyborg!) to the Romney 2.0.12 ;-}
The problem is that, for some reason unbeknownst to me, republicans refuse to admit the fact that Mitt Romney does nothing but LIE. The man has changed his position on every issue he has ever had in order to pander to his conservative base. He then chose Ryan as his running mate in order to show his base that he is dedicated to his current position on the issues. He chose the farthest thing from himself in regards to his liberalism in order to make everyone think he is firm in his position. I know what you're thinking... look at his record. He is a liberal. He is just lying about it right now. A person just does not suddenly become that strict of a conservative over the course of a year when they leaned as far left as Romney did.
Here are a few facts about Romney:
2002- ran for Governor of Massachusetts on a pro-choice platform
2012- ran for president of the USA on a pro-life platform
2004- as Governor, signed one of the toughest assault weapons ban in the country
2007- after announcing his bid for the republican nomination stated that he is "a member of the NRA" and "believe[s] firmly in the right to bear arms."
2006- Romney, still Governor, signed into law the "Massachusetts Health Care Insurance Reform Law" what was later to be the model for the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare)
2012- Stated that, if elected president, on his first day he will "act to repeal Obamacare," and said, "Obamacare was bad policy yesterday; Obamacare is bad policy today. Obamacare was a bad law yesterday; 'it' is a bad law today."
These are only a few of the scores of flip flops and lies Mitt Romney has told the American people. How can anyone in their right mind even consider voting for this man? This page will continue to be updated frequently.
